KARISMA MORENO

DEPUTY DIRECTOR

Karisma Moreno is the co-founder and driving force behind VetPhoenix, a nonprofit born from her decision to leave behind familiarity and step boldly into her calling to serve families in crisis. With over 10 years of experience in behavior intervention, crisis response, and advocacy for underrepresented and low-income families, Karisma combines professional expertise with deep personal conviction.

A mother of five, military wife, entrepreneur, and community advocate with an academic foundation in psychology, she has spent her career supporting families navigating complex emotional, financial, and systemic challenges.

As an immigrant, cancer survivor, and woman of faith, Karisma embodies resilience. Her journey through adversity and her commitment to uplifting others inspired her to build VetPhoenix from the ground up, relying on determination, creativity, and her belief that no family should face struggle alone.

Today, she is furthering her education by pursuing a master's degree in psychology and expanding her business knowledge to open new horizons for VetPhoenix, taking the organization to the next level and broadening its reach.

Karisma lives out VetPhoenix's core motto every day: Nemo Resideo, No one left behind.

You're not alone.
We're here to help.
